For the 2nd year running, the you-know-what has forced us stay apart for the Down Syndrome Ireland Purple Run

Kathleen Fitzsimons of DSI put this request to us: “We are asking people to run or walk their own Virtual Purple Run (5km or more) anytime during the 21 day run up to this year’s World Down Syndrome Day on March 21st and raise money to help support our work with children and adults with Down syndrome throughout Ireland”. With this own-the-outcome style brief, #fidelityireland associates embarked on their fundraising journey.

Our associates walked, ran & cycled distances from 5k upwards across a variety of terrains, including roads, parks, mountains and beaches.

In challenging times, the eagerness with which people show-up reiterates the desire to connect, to help and to stay healthy!

One benefit of “Virtual” Runs is that we can get a small glimpse into our colleagues’ surrounds and personal lives through their photo submissions.

Once again, kudos to Aislinn and Cian for organizing this event on behalf of #FidelityIreland and raising over €5,000 for a very deserving cause.
