Interview Tips from a Current GIFT Associate
  • Know your CV thoroughly and be prepared to answer questions on college projects and previous work experience
  • Be prepared for hypothetical situation questions
  • Anticipate questions, prepare answers on
    • You as a person
    • Skills and experience
    • The company
    • The job
  • Maintain natural eye contact with the interviewer(s) – i.e. maintain eye contact, but don't stare
  • Relax, smile and be confident but not over confident
  • Be positive, but honest about yourself and your abilities
  • Acknowledge weaknesses but present them as strengths
  • Ask questions to show interest in the Company and the position
  • Don't be put off by the "good cop, bad cop" routine often used by interviewers
