I spent my 6 month internship with Fidelity in the Galway office. I found it a great experience as I was given the opportunity, and shown the trust, to work with some technologies that I hadn't used and wasn't familiar with from college in some really interesting projects. |

The Galway office itself is a excellent place to work as it also houses the GIFT Program (HETAC Accredited Graduate Training), so with at least 25 employees straight from college the atmosphere is always energetic, bright and friendly. This also considerably adds to the social aspect both in and outside the office. In my opinion the internship program is a great chance to get a clear bird’s eye view of how Fidelity Investments (or any other major business for that) operates as a business, and the breadth and depth of the services it offers. From my time on the program I got the chance to meet and work with many friendly, enthusiastic and interesting people and along with gaining superb technical experience with up and coming technologies, I also got the chance to develop professional/business skills in areas like Business Communication, Networking, Customer Management, and Presentation skills. All this made it a pretty easy choice to return to Fidelity when I finished college. |
